Untill today it is unclear why she sank. After hitting the bottom, she had completly rolled over on her side, and with the aid of lifting bags and a 20 Ton crane she was pulled on even keel, all hatches, holds and openings were sealed off, and water pumped out. Afloating barrier was put out to contain fuel and oil pollution. a total of 24 hours later she was afloat, all dammage, repaired and handed to owner.
Koningsberg, a 45 ton Commercial Chocca trawler, parted her mooring ropes and washed out on rocks, she was totally wrecked 3 days later due to sea storms. We bought the wreck [ hull]for R. 2.00, and salvaged all the wood that is turned into furniture. all mashinery, hardware, etc was claimed by insurance company for reselling.
